Profiles Caribbean Inc.- StaffProfiles Caribbean Inc. (PCI) has deliberately evolved into a full service, human resource consulting firm assisting organizations to develop HR solutions through the utilization of modern human resource tools, methodologies and services. As the regional representative for the Texas based Profiles International Inc. (PI), a global leader in the provision and distribution of occupational assessments and talent management solutions PCI was established in August 1994 to introduce organizations to the use of science to hire and grow their team through the use of psychometric assessments. Since then we now represent Crestcom International an internationally recognized, global leader in management and leadership development. During its existence, PCI has established several strategic partner operations throughout the Caribbean.

Our suite of HR services include psychometric assessments, leadership and Management development training, human resource consulting as well as search and selection. Our network of partners and associates, well trained, professional team coupled with state of the art technology and creativity, help many organizations in all sectors to enhance their human resource function using best practices and world class approaches.

In 2000, PCI was the recipient of the first ever Profiles International (PI) National Award for Performance. In 2002, the company also won the award again from a group of over 50 countries. PCI has also been the recipient of the 2003 Barbados Small Business Association (BSBA) Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship and in 2008, it won the Entrepreneur of the Year and Sectoral Group Awards for Professional Services.

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Peter Downes BSc. (Hons), CMA, FCA, SPHR (PCI)

Peter Downes BSc. (Hons), CMA, FCA, SPHR (PCI), established Profiles Caribbean Inc. in 1994 to help organizations to hire, promote, manage and develop people using technologically advanced human resource tools and services.

During the past seventeen (17) years, Mr. Downes has led the establishment of more than 15 strategic business operations throughout the region. Mr. Downes is a two time winner of PI’s National Director Award for Performance from a slate of over 50 countries.

Chief Operations Officer

Mr. Shane Howell BSc (Hons), MSc

Shane Howell BSc (Hons), MSc, holds the title of Chief Operations Officer, but the running joke in the office is that he is multifaceted and holds the unofficial Management posts of Facilities, Health & Safety, IT and whatever comes his way

Shane’s major focus is Consulting, Training, facilitation and he also has oversight of the Marketing and Recruitment aspects of the business.

Ms. Niska Best Bsc

Meet Niska Best, Profiles Caribbean’s newest edition!  Niskia is the Human Resources Advisor.

Niska a graduate of The University of the West Indies with a BSc. In Hotel Management, brings a multifarious knowledge base spanning from operations and general management to the specialist areas of human resources management with significant experience in training and development. Her formal education has naturally led her to hone her skills within the Hospitality industry in various capacities. In her role she will primarily focus on the Training and Consultative arm of Profiles Caribbean. Having worked with a leading regional hotel group with corporate responsibilities, Niska has been an integral part of developing company human resources strategic plans, policy development and the coordination and development of training programs.  She will channel these strengths to provide and better assist our clients with solutions to best fit their needs and requirements.

Mr. Rohan Malone, RACR, B.Sc.

Rohan, RACR, B.Sc. is the man in demand! Interacting with employers, job seekers and potential candidates.  Rohan has a number of years’ experience as a head-hunter and has perfected the skill of finding the perfect fit for organizations.

He shared that the most engaging part of his job is ensuring that clients are satisfied with the placement process and outcome.

Communications & Administrative Coordinator

Ms. Samantha Hazlewood, MComms

Samantha Hazlewood, MComms, is the Communications & Administrative Coordinator.  A role that blends customer service, communications and creativity. Samantha is the first point of contact that most clients will have with the company, be it physically or virtually.  She ensures that the brand is right, and that Profiles Caribbean is top of mind.

Samantha couldn’t pinpoint any one aspect of her job she preferred, because each day brings diversity.
